My Aladdin Experience

 We practised our play for around 12 weeks with many dress rehearsals and run-throughs. I would like to thank Mrs Osborn, Mrs Davies, Mrs Smith, and Mrs Roberts. These teachers produced and choreographed the show and without them this how wouldn't be what it was. It was so fun to do this how because I got to meet a lot of great people and saw some awesome costumes. My favourite costume has to be prince Ali's ( the one with the gold/brown/red turban with bells and golden balls strung from it and white clothes with a golden outline. Our tables

Hello there, for our S.T.E.M. we had to make a table out of 10 pieces of newspaper and 1 meter of tape. we had to work in teams of five. It was very fun because we had to have critical thinking and teamwork. I think we had an awesome understanding of everyone's ideas. Have you ever done anything like this? For art this week we had to create a print with foam. How we did this is we created a pattern of the Matariki stars but backward so it would print the right way. Next, we re-drew it onto the foam once we did that we were ready for printing. How the printing worked was he had a printing station in the maker space that had all the different inks and all the paper we needed to print. In the printing station, we had to choose our colour and use a paint roller to roll the ink onto our foam. The side we put the in onto was the side we re-drew our stars on. We were able to do multiple prints all with different colors and a new piece of foam. once we had our selected pallet and the paper ready we flipped the foam over so the in was facing down Then we put it onto the paper. We used our hands and some hammers that were supervised by the teachers to beat the foam onto the paper so it would transfer all the ink. Once we were done we carefully pulled the foam off and washed it so we could put it into the rubbish. As soon as the foam was clean our print was made and set to dry. For literacy, we had to put the first trailers and newest trailers of our favourite super heroes side by side and see the major changes and differences. Another task we had to do on this slide is make one of our friends a supervillain that is on the 3rd slide. Fun Fact: Harly Quinn is a certified hero. Comic Strip

 

For our class on keeping ourselves safe, we learned about keeping our friends and ourselves emotionally safe. We had to finish a comic strip on how to deal with situations like this. In this story, two friends go to a disco and one of the friends gets cut off from the chat by other people because she has a lazy eye. The other people try to pull the other friend away from the friend with the lazy eye. And I and my whole class think that that is not O.K. so we made and ending on what the girl getting pulled away could have done. If you cant read the words the girl in the last comic panel wearing the dark blue says: Come and dance with us. And the girl in the purple says: O.K. thank you. Have you ever made a comic strip?
